project description

The warehouse operations administration system primarily allows floor administrators the ability to monitor and track batches of pick tickets as they work through the different life-cycles based on order make-up. This application also has a whole suite of tools that allow for the management of warehouse activities such as exceptions management in triage, user performance reporting, creation of bins/trucks/totes for purposes of creating license plates, as well as, a whole toolset of log monitoring and different types of inquiries.

This product has been my breadth of focus during my tenure at Speed Commerce and it's suite of applications include a kiosk system, a wearable RF scanner/computer, a packing system and is itegrated into all major PLC systems that control hardware in the warehouse, such as automated baggers, conveyor systems and sortation devices.

At the heart of it, the warehouse operations system is a transaction system that acts as a warehouse control system. Where PkMS is the actual warehouse management system, this suite of applications act as the facilitator of all the different activities that make a fulfillment center tick.
